PREVIEW OF COMING ATTRACTION "SOUTHBEACH UNDERTOW" Starring the sun-bronzed blond haired blue eyed South Beach Detective Casey Callahan and the seductively curvaceous Detective Sharon Farina in an exciting new who-done-it mystery story.

As our story begins, it is early mid-morning in Miami. Riding in an unmarked police car two plain clothed South Beach Miami police detectives are on their way through heavy South beach street traffic responding to a 911 call. Detective Casey Callahan, the driver, carefully but swiftly maneuvers the cruiser as he weaves the car back and forth dodging in and out of the traffic. His companion, Detective Sharon Farina peers from the window of the police car into the faces of the passing throng of hurrying pedestrians walking along the palm lined streets.

SHARON

(more or less mumbling to herself)

Where...are they all going?

(Sharon referring to the pedestrians)

CASEY

(Casey unsure what Sharon had said)

Humm...? What....?

SHARON

I said..don't you ever wonder where in the hell all of these people are going?

CASEY

Oh! It's crossed my mind...sure...

SHARON

Doesn't anyone ever stay home?

CASEY

In South Beach? Come on...this isn't pink flamingo bougainvillea village..Hialeah...!

SHARON

Thank God it isn't!

CASEY

Oooh! I think I hit a nerve..

SHARON

Hialeah is more than bougainvillea and pink flamingos.

CASEY

Like little kiddies with momees and daddies, living in pretty little neat houses with well tended green lawns..?

SHARON

Well...what's wrong with that?

CASEY

Did I say there was something wrong with it...?

(Sharon with a big smile on her face turns her attention away from Casey...looks out the car window and scans the passing view.) Casey nods his head...he thinks hum..flowers, kids and houses......that's OK stuff...with me too! "It's just not South Beach...got me?") Sharon continues to look out the car window, Casey turns his attention to the road ahead. He sees a crowd standing out front of an imposing South Beach apartment building, with the address BIDDLE TOWERS looming majestically over the elegant entrance. There's news media crews and reporters mingling with a small crowd of on-lookers nearby the building's entrance. Emergency vehicles block the street, Casey pulls the squad car to the curb, flips off the ignition switch, takes a quick glance out the car window, sees the jostling reporters and on-lookers, then utters more or less to himself)" Quite a crowd!" (Sharon, pointing to the address above the doorway of the building) "That's why!...This is no ordinary John Doe call!" Casey nods "Yep.. we're in tall cotton territory". Sharon smiles.."I haven't heard that old trite saying in a long time". Casey steps from the car, Sharon gets out of the cruiser, joins Casey " these
guys are something else " Sharon referring to the reporters pushing nearby them as they make their way through the crowd.

Meanwhile The coroner, who had arrived just a few minutes ahead of detectives Casey Callahan and Sharon Farina, enters the victim's apartment...nods to the policeman standing near the doorway, "where's the corpse?" Policeman points, "in there..in the bedroom". The coroner enters the bedroom, sees the victim's nude lifeless body lying on the stained carpeted floor , blood is oozing from the victim's mouth. Standing attentively over the body is a middle aged Spanish looking women in a starched white uniform , she's the victim's maid. The coroner acknowledges her, " you're...?" . The maid tightens up her clinched fists, "I'm Mrs. Biddle's maid...." The coroner kneels down aside the body.

He feels for the corpse pulse. Maid leans over a bit trying to survey what the coroner is doing. Cororner , aware of the maid "she's dead alright" then looking up at the maid "you find her like this?"(To be continued--)
